Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

Within the context of a new, exciting, project, aiming to revolutionize mobile internet access in emerging markets, Upstream is looking to hire an enthusiastic Junior Quality Assurance Engineer for its new mobile solution – Zero-D (http://www.upstreamsystems.com/zero-d/) in Athens, Greece.

A Quality Assurance Engineer is a key role in the delivery of Upstream’s Projects. The QA Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting and executing test plans. He/She ensures that Upstream’s web and mobile applications are delivered in accordance to the customer requirements and that any quality issues are appropriately identified, documented, prioritized, tracked, and resolved.

Requirements

• Obtain a good understanding of functional requirements
• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured Test Plans and Test Cases Execute Test Plans (manual/automated tests)
• Record, document and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Computer Science / Engineering or similar discipline
• Basic knowledge of HTML Basic programming skills (e.g. Java , Python, C/C++)
• Any professional experience in hands-on software testing / quality assurance is a plus
• Understanding and/or experience in mobile/web services and telecommunications protocols is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
